Another New Tenant Could Be Coming to Greenside in Houston's Memorial Area

by Katie Day

The tenant lineup at Greenside continues to grow.

According to a recent permit filing, LEEMOO Health Bar could be the latest business headed to the mixed-use development on Gessner Road in Houston's Memorial area. The filing outlines plans for a 1,100-square-foot interior build-out, with construction expected to begin in August and wrap up by October, if the project moves forward as planned.

While permit filings don't always guarantee a business will open, they often provide an early look at what's coming to fast-growing retail developments across Houston.

Greenside Continues to Add New Tenants

LEEMOO Health Bar isn't the only recent addition generating buzz.

The health-focused concept would join ChopNBlok, the West African fast-casual restaurant that also recently filed permits for its location at Greenside. Together, the announcements suggest the development is continuing to build a diverse mix of dining options for Memorial residents.

As new tenants continue to emerge through permit filings, Greenside appears to be positioning itself as another neighborhood destination for food, drinks, and everyday conveniences.

What We Know About the Permit

The recently filed permit calls for:

  • A 1,100-square-foot tenant build-out

  • Construction anticipated to begin in August

  • Estimated completion by October

As with all permit filings, construction timelines and opening dates can change, and an approved permit does not necessarily guarantee the business will open.

Why It Matters for Memorial Residents

The Memorial area has seen steady commercial growth in recent years, with developers continuing to invest in new retail, restaurants, and neighborhood gathering spaces. For residents along the Gessner corridor, each new tenant adds to the area's growing list of nearby dining and lifestyle options.

If LEEMOO Health Bar officially opens, it would introduce another health-conscious food and beverage option to the neighborhood, complementing the evolving mix of businesses planned for Greenside.

As additional permits are filed and construction progresses, more announcements about future tenants could follow.
