Burger Bodega Is Opening in Katy on September 19
Katy burger fans, the wait is almost over.
Burger Bodega is officially opening its Katy location on September 19, bringing its popular halal smash burgers, chopped cheese sandwiches and mango lassi milkshakes to the west Houston suburbs.
The new restaurant will be located at 21904 Franz Road, giving Katy residents a chance to try the award-winning burger spot without making the trip into Houston.
And considering Burger Bodega has already earned national attention for its burgers, opening day could be a busy one.
A Burger Spot With a National Reputation
Burger Bodega has built a following around its take on the classic American burger, with halal smash burgers at the center of the menu.
The restaurant has also been recognized as having one of the best burgers in America, helping turn the Houston-area concept into a destination for burger fans.
Its smash burgers feature the crispy, caramelized edges that have become a signature of the style, while the menu goes beyond burgers with other comfort-food favorites.
For Katy residents who have been waiting for the restaurant to make its way west, the new location means those popular menu items are about to become considerably more convenient.
What’s on the Menu?
The Katy location is expected to offer Burger Bodega’s full menu, giving customers access to more than just its signature smash burgers.
Among the highlights are chopped cheese sandwiches, a New York-inspired favorite that has become increasingly popular across Houston, as well as the restaurant’s mango lassi milkshakes.
The combination gives Burger Bodega a menu that feels distinctly its own—blending classic American burger-joint staples with South Asian-inspired flavors.
And for anyone who has never tried a mango lassi shake alongside a smash burger, this might be the perfect opportunity.
Why Katy?
Katy’s restaurant scene has exploded in recent years, with everything from independent local concepts to nationally recognized brands opening throughout the area.
Burger Bodega’s arrival adds another buzzy name to that mix and gives residents another destination for a quick lunch, casual dinner or late-night burger run.
The Franz Road location also makes the restaurant accessible to the growing number of residents living throughout the Katy area.
