Gosling Oaks Breaks Ground on $200 Million Mixed-Use Development South of The Woodlands

A new mixed-use development is officially taking shape just south of The Woodlands, bringing apartments, restaurants, retail and office space to a rapidly growing part of north Houston.

Gosling Oaks has broken ground on its $200 million development, marking the beginning of a project designed to create a walkable destination centered around a large community greenspace.

The first phase will bring 388 apartments, with retail, restaurants and office space planned to follow.

The development is expected to welcome its first residents in April 2028, while the first retail spaces are targeted to open in October 2027.

For residents of The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Conroe and surrounding communities, Gosling Oaks is another example of how the area south of The Woodlands continues to attract major investment.

What Is Gosling Oaks?

Gosling Oaks is planned as a mixed-use community combining residential, retail, dining and office space in one development.

Rather than separating apartments from commercial spaces, the project is designed to bring the different uses together around a central greenspace.

At the heart of that space will be a particularly distinctive feature: a treehouse.

The greenspace is intended to serve as a gathering area for residents and visitors, giving the development a central place for people to relax, socialize and spend time outdoors.

Apartments Are Coming First
