La La Land Cafe Could Be Coming to Dunham Pointe in Cypress

Cypress residents may soon have another spot for coffee, matcha and a casual bite.

La La Land Cafe could be expanding its Cypress presence with a second location, this time at Dunham Pointe on Mason Road.

A project registered with the state indicates that a build-out is planned for the new location, with a December completion target. If that timeline holds, the project would move relatively quickly considering La La Land Cafe’s first Cypress-area location at Towne Lake only opened in June.

Another La La Land Cafe for Cypress?

For residents who already frequent La La Land Cafe, the potential Dunham Pointe location could be a welcome addition.

The brand has been making a name for itself with its colorful, social-media-friendly cafes and menu of coffee, specialty drinks, breakfast items and light bites. Its Towne Lake location gave Cypress residents a closer option, and a second location would put the brand within reach of even more neighborhoods along the Mason Road corridor.

The proposed location at Dunham Pointe is also notable because the development is part of a larger wave of growth happening across northwest Houston.

Why Dunham Pointe?

Dunham Pointe has been emerging as one of the newer residential and commercial developments in the Cypress area. As more homes, businesses and services move into the area, restaurants and coffee shops are increasingly becoming part of the development mix.

For residents, that can mean fewer reasons to leave the neighborhood for everyday stops like grabbing coffee, meeting a friend or working remotely for an hour.

A La La Land Cafe at Dunham Pointe would add another recognizable local hangout to the Mason Road area if the project moves forward as planned.

When could it open?

The state-registered project lists December as the target completion date for the build-out. That does not necessarily mean the cafe will open to customers immediately afterward, since construction, inspections, permitting, staffing and other final steps can affect an opening timeline.

For now, the December target is best viewed as a milestone to watch rather than a confirmed grand-opening date.

And, of course, development plans can change.
