Two New Joe V's Smart Shops Are Coming to the Houston Area
Houston-area shoppers will soon have two more places to stock up on groceries at budget-friendly prices.
Joe V's Smart Shop, the value-focused grocery chain owned by H-E-B, is expanding once again with two new Houston-area locations currently under construction. The upcoming stores will serve residents in Humble and City Park, continuing the brand's steady growth across Greater Houston.
According to project details, the first location is expected to open off U.S. Highway 59 in Humble in early 2027, while a second store is planned for the City Park area near Highway 288, with an anticipated opening in late 2027.
Each store will span approximately 57,000 square feet, offering customers a full grocery shopping experience with Joe V's signature combination of everyday low prices, fresh produce, quality meats, bakery items, and pantry essentials.
A First for Joe V's: Fresh South Flo Pizza
One feature that will make these locations stand out is the addition of H-E-B's South Flo Pizza, marking the first time the popular fresh pizza concept will be available inside a Joe V's Smart Shop.
Prepared fresh daily, South Flo Pizza has become a favorite at select H-E-B stores, offering made-to-order pizzas alongside grab-and-go options. Bringing the concept to Joe V's gives shoppers another convenient meal option while running their weekly errands.
Expanding Access to Affordable Groceries
Joe V's Smart Shop was created by H-E-B to provide communities with quality groceries at competitive prices while keeping the shopping experience simple and efficient. As the chain continues expanding throughout Greater Houston, more residents are gaining access to affordable grocery options closer to home.
The addition of stores in Humble and City Park also reflects the continued residential growth happening in both areas, where demand for new retail and grocery options has steadily increased.
Although both stores are already under construction, shoppers will need to wait a little longer before the doors officially open. The Humble location is expected to welcome customers first in early 2027, followed by the City Park store later that year.
For residents living in northeast Houston or along the Highway 288 corridor, these upcoming openings are worth keeping on the radar.
Humble Location: Near U.S. Highway 59 — Expected opening: Early 2027
City Park Location: Near Highway 288 — Expected opening: Late 2027
We'll continue to share updates as construction progresses and official opening dates are announced.
