Sweet News for Tomball: Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Is Coming

by Katie Day

Tomball residents with a sweet tooth are in for a treat. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, known for its fresh-made, small-batch scoops, is officially breaking ground on a brand-new location this fall. The $1.3 million shop is set to open by April 2026, bringing one of America’s most beloved ice cream experiences to town.

What Makes Bruster’s Different

Unlike many chains, Bruster’s takes a true small-batch approach. Every scoop is made fresh in-store daily, using real ingredients and classic recipes. That means no tubs shipped from afar—just creamy, hand-crafted ice cream straight from the churn to your cone.

And speaking of cones, Bruster’s is known for its homemade waffle cones, along with candy-packed sundaes and more than a dozen rotating flavors that change with the season. From classics like Chocolate Raspberry Truffle to fun favorites like Birthday Cake, there’s always something new to try.

Why Tomball?

Bruster’s expansion into Tomball speaks to the area’s growing family-friendly community and booming local economy. With more families moving into Northwest Houston, the addition of a destination dessert shop gives locals another reason to gather, celebrate, and indulge.

The new shop is designed to serve everyone—from kids craving an after-school scoop to adults looking for a nostalgic weekend stop. And with its projected opening just in time for warmer spring days, Tomball will have a new favorite spot to cool down.

Construction begins this fall, and doors are expected to open in April 2026. By then, expect the sweet aroma of fresh waffle cones to become a new part of Tomball’s neighborhood charm.
