Taco Bell’s New Live Más Café Is Coming to Houston: Here’s What to Expect

Houston, get ready — your next Taco Bell run might come with a whole new drink menu.
After a test run in California, Taco Bell is rolling out its Live Más Café concept nationwide and Houston is on the list. Starting this fall, you’ll find more than just your usual Baja Blast: think barista-style drinks, refreshers, energy boosts, and new spins on the chain’s famous freezes, all served up by Taco Bell’s new crew of “Bellristas.”
What Is the Live Más Café?
Imagine your regular Taco Bell but with a café twist. The new concept blends the grab-and-go feel of your favorite drive-thru with a coffee shop vibe. The menu is all about customizable drinks, with more than 30 options ranging from sparkling refreshers to energy drinks and frozen treats with creative new flavors.
According to Taco Bell, specially trained team members, dubbed “Bellristas”, will craft each drink to order. So whether you’re craving a mid-day pick-me-up or a sweet frozen drink to go with your Crunchwrap, you’ll have plenty of new options to try.
Where It’s Happening
While exact Houston locations haven’t been announced yet, the rollout is part of a multi-state expansion that includes over 30 new Live Más Café spots across Southern California and Texas. Given Houston’s love of both drive-thru snacks and iced drinks to beat the heat, it’s no surprise the city made the list.
Why It’s a Big Deal
Taco Bell has built a loyal following for its late-night menu, signature sauces, and fan-favorite freezes like the Baja Blast. But this new café concept pushes the brand into a different arena — one that competes more directly with coffee and beverage chains by giving customers another reason to stop by any time of day.
Plus, with customizable drinks and trained “Bellristas,” the chain is tapping into the trend of personalized, Instagram-worthy drinks that have fueled the success of coffee giants like Starbucks and Dunkin’.
When to Expect It
The new Live Más Café drink lineup will start pouring in Houston this fall, so keep an eye out for updates on which local Taco Bell locations will get the upgrade first.
