Which Houston Loop Neighborhoods Had the Most Home Sales in July 2026?

by Katie Day

If you’ve been wondering what’s happening in Houston’s Inner Loop housing market, July home sales offer an interesting snapshot of where buyers were most active.

Using Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) data for single-family home sales inside Loop 610 from July 1 through July 31, 2026, we can see which ZIP codes recorded the most sales during the month.

Where Houston Home Sales Were Most Active

The Inner Loop includes some of Houston’s most established and sought-after neighborhoods, from the Heights and Montrose to areas around the Medical Center, Meyerland and the East End. Each ZIP code has its own mix of housing, price points and buyer demand, so looking at sales by ZIP code can provide a useful way to understand where activity is concentrated.

July’s numbers highlight the ZIP codes that saw the highest number of single-family home sales during the month.

Rather than looking at Houston’s housing market as one big picture, breaking the data down by ZIP code gives residents a more localized view of what’s happening in their part of town.

What Does This Mean for Houston Homebuyers and Sellers?

A high number of sales doesn't necessarily mean that a ZIP code is the most expensive, the fastest-appreciating or the most competitive market in Houston. Sales volume is simply one measure of market activity.

For buyers, areas with more transactions may offer a broader selection of homes and a clearer picture of current pricing. For sellers, understanding the level of activity in a specific ZIP code can provide helpful context when evaluating local demand.

And because Houston's neighborhoods can vary dramatically from one street to the next, ZIP-code-level data is often more useful than citywide statistics when you're trying to understand your local market.

Curious About Your Houston Neighborhood?

The July numbers are just one snapshot of the market. Housing activity can change from month to month as inventory, interest rates, pricing and buyer demand shift.
